Depression
What is depression?
Depression can look different for everyone. Symptoms may come and go in waves or be persistent, and often negatively impact self-esteem, relationships, work/school functioning, physical health, and more. Often, depression presents with symptoms like:
Intense feelings of sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness
Lack of interest or pleasure from things you used to enjoy
Weight or appetite changes
Sleep problems
Feeling drained or without energy
“Brain fog” or concentration difficulties
Irritability or restlessness
Thoughts of suicide
