Let’s figure out what you need to be well.

Services grounded in research and tailored to you.

Welcome!

I am so glad you’re here.

My name is Dr. Samantha Hellberg. I founded Root & Bloom Wellness to help clients and clinicians get the support they need to be well.

As a psychologist and yoga teacher, I think about wellness a lot. Well-being is a holistic experience. It has different dimensions (e.g., emotional, physical, professional, social, spiritual) and each of us has different priorities and goals that impact what we need to be well.

So, why root & bloom? In full transparency, it was my sister’s idea. And, I choose it because it perfectly captures my approach to well-being.

Well-being requires us to attend to the root of suffering. Our biology, experiences, behavior, relationships, and more can all play a role. Once we understand the causes of suffering, we can work to alleviate it.

At the same time, well-being is not simply the absence of suffering. So, while we work to address symptoms and their causes, we must also figure out what you need to flourish and thrive–or bloom.

These two processes work together. By tending to the roots, we create the foundation needed for healing and growth, and by tending to the blooms, we create the conditions needed to be resilient and fulfilled. With compassion and care, we can build lives we truly want to be living.
